So, after a long spell of inactivity, I return to write about my training for an upcoming Ultra marathon in August. There was some trepidation as I “checked” my fitness levels earlier today. I seemed to be doing OK but need to ramp up over the next 3-4 months!
Today’s indoor workout consisted of a general warm up walk, followed by 5km worth of splits – 200 metres of walking followed by 800 metres of slightly fast paced running – and closed with a little over 6 km of jogging with a 9kg weighted vest
Hopefully, I am more consistent with my posts now. Will attempt to write about my nutrition, recovery and other related stuff as I prep for an exciting race!
