I was practising a breathing technique taught by Budd Coates in his acclaimed book, Running on Air. An easy 3:2, RBE1 without stressing myself. It took good effort to keep the count and time them to my footfalls. It was totally worth it. I maintained a steady pace of 6m20s per km.
I experienced what it feels like to experience something for its own sake. What is known as autotelic.
Now for some rest for sore feet.
